MY STORY
I believe that counseling is a practice of instilling, promoting, and maintaining hope and restoring the wounded person to wholeness. What inspired me to go into this field is a quote by Russell A. Barkley, “The children who need love the most, will always ask for it in the most unloving ways.” To some degree, this can be said about adults as well so I dedicate what I do in helping individuals no matter how they ask.
I have accompanied people for over 7 years in a variety of contexts, I am committed to offering effective and relational counseling. My work allows me to meet people where they are at and journey with them through compassion, support, and empathy. I look at people as a whole where their physical, mental, and spiritual health intertwine. My emphasis is on creating a safe place so people can explore and confront issues that impair their quality of life and self-identity. I have a particular interest in working with individuals who struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, loss and grief, and spirituality.
When I am not in the office, I enjoy going on food adventures with my wife and our one-year-old daughter. We are also lifelong Seahawks and Mariners fans!
