I was born and raised in South East Asia until the age of 18. Growing up overseas I had the pleasure of learning about various cultures, beliefs, and ways of life which taught me from a young age the beauty of difference and instilled in me the genuine excitement and wonder of getting to know people’s unique stories and the moments in life that have had profound impacts on them. I offer a nonjudgmental, culturally competent, and inviting place to be and understand yourself, as well as a safe environment to process experiences that may be painful to talk about. I admire the strength and courage it takes to reach out for support and look forward to working with clients to achieve their therapeutic goals and process life experiences in a supportive environment.

I use a strength based approach as I believe each individual has strengths and qualities unique to them and love to help clients understand and build upon their strengths.  I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients understand their thought patterns. I also help clients identify ways to use positive coping skills and incorporate mindfulness into sessions to help clients in being present in the here and now.

I received my undergraduate degree in English Literature from Northwest University in 2014 and completed a Masters in Counseling Psychology also from Northwest University in 2016. I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of WA. Since 2014 I have had the pleasure of working in an inpatient setting with a variety of populations including both adolescents and adults, outpatient at a community mental health clinic, as well as with children and families at DCYF. Through my experience in each of these settings I have found a deeper level of compassion and amazement for individuals who are dealing with hardships and the resilience that they have.

In my spare time I love spending time with my friends, family, and my new puppy! I also love to travel and learn more about other cultures and ways of life.
