Licensed Mental Health Counselor (WA),  LH60960731

I was born in Southern California and have spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest. My clinical perspective was shaped early through lived experience with trauma and growing up within a family system impacted by mental illness and substance use. These experiences did not simply lead me into counseling. They formed the foundation of how I understand human behavior, relational dynamics, and the long-term impact of early systems on identity, attachment, and coping. They also instilled a deep respect for the responsibility that comes with clinical leadership.

I have worked in the counseling field since 2012 across a wide range of high-acuity and systems-based settings, including homeless shelters, outpatient behavioral health clinics, hospitals, jails, community and in-home programs, group practice environments, and both in-person and telehealth care. This breadth of experience allows me to conceptualize cases beyond symptoms, helping clinicians understand how context, trauma, neurobiology, family systems, and environment interact in complex presentations.

My clinical work has centered on treating adolescents and adults with layered and often co-occurring concerns, including trauma histories, mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders including OCD, ADHD, personality features such as borderline personality disorder, and substance use disorders. I also work extensively with family systems and couples navigating entrenched relational patterns, communication breakdowns, and chronic conflict. This depth of practice directly informs my work as a supervisor and consultant to developing clinicians.

I provide professional supervision and clinical consultation for therapists who are actively working toward licensure and want more than a checklist approach to required hours. My work is best suited for clinicians who are seeking to develop strong clinical judgment, advanced case conceptualization skills, and the confidence to work competently with complex clients. Supervision with me is focused on depth, discernment, and long-term professional mastery.

My supervision approach balancesdirect guidance, collaborative case consultation, and education on best practices, while also supporting clinicians in refining their therapeutic identity and decision-making process. I help supervisees learn how to think critically about cases, assess risk and complexity accurately, and intervene intentionally rather than reactively. The goal is not dependency on a supervisor, but the development of sound reasoning, ethical clarity, and clinical independence.

Therapists who work with me can expect a supervision experience that is structured, supportive, and intellectually rigorous. I value accountability, thoughtful reflection, and growth, and I maintain high standards while providing steady mentorship. My intention is to help clinicians complete licensure feeling prepared, grounded, and confident in their ability to practice at an advanced level.

I currently offer supervision and consultation via telehealth, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a high standard of engagement and clinical depth.

Outside of my professional work, I am married with four children and live in Tacoma. I value balance, creativity, and connection, and I enjoy arts and crafts, playing the keyboard, gardening, cooking and baking, walking, hiking, enjoying sports, spending time in nature, and being with my family and friends. I share my home with an English cream golden retriever, a red short-haired dachshund, and a tabby cat.
