Jessica Matthews
Therapist
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (WA), MC61671795
Hi, I’m Jessica. I’m a therapist who believes healing happens when we feel genuinely seen, accepted, and supported. I work with children , teens, and adults, helping clients find calm in the chaos, build confidence, and reconnect with what truly matters to them. My goal is to create a space that feels like a deep breath; comfortable, caring, and real, where you can show up as your full self without judgment.
In our sessions, you can expect warmth, curiosity, and collaboration. I believe you are the expert on your own story, and my role is to walk alongside you as you explore what’s been holding you back and discover new ways forward. Therapy with me often balances emotional exploration with practical tools. We’ll talk about the “why,” but we’ll also work on the “how.”
My approach draws from person-centered, existential, and experiential therapy, as well as evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Play Therapy techniques.
I specialize in supporting clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum challenges, relationship struggles, identity development, and self-esteem issues. I’m especially passionate about working with neurodivergent individuals and creating spaces where people of all ages feel understood, valued, and free to be themselves.
When I’m not in session, I’m probably getting lost in a good book, playing video games with my son, or cuddling our beloved pug, Carl Roger. I also love grabbing an iced coffee and heading out for a spontaneous drive; it’s my favorite way to slow down and see what unfolds next, a reminder that life’s most meaningful moments often come when we give ourselves space to just be.
